Sacred Earth – Reverie Releasing This Year

Developer Sacred Star Team announced Sacred Earth – Reverie, an RPG with visual novel elements and billed as drawing inspirations from the RPGs developed by Falcom and Gust as well as the Tales of series. The game is set to release in Q4 2024 on PC via Steam.

Sacred Earth – Reverie‘s story takes place in a fantasy world and follows the adventures of a former knight, who set out on a journey to investigate the “Great Conflict” against the Demon Queen. This journey eventually leads the knight in the town of Istina, where they get to know their future party members. Sacred Earth – Reverie features 2D graphics and a point-and-click gameplay. During dungeon exploration, each click increases the chance to encounter enemies, which are fought in turn-based battles. Players can form a party of up to four members, each of them possessing their own skills. The story ends differently depending on the decisions made during the game.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly become obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as more as gameplay. Now, I am, writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
