Japanese indie developer Poisoft has begun a Kickstarter campaign for an English release for its simulation-RPG crossover Order Land!. The game was recently released for Nintendo Switch in Japan (after originally being released for Nintendo 3Ds in 2013), and the developer is looking to release the game in North America and Europe for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC, with a PlayStation 4 version set as a stretch goal.
Order Land! features three distinct modes: King mode, Training mode, and Hero mode. In King mode, players play as the king of a fantasy nation, making all the decisions from his throne. They can do various things on different ends of the moral scale, from granting citizens' requests and supporting heroic adventurers to setting incredibly high tax rates and putting heroes in jail.
In Training mode, players create their own heroes and train them up, travelling the world and potentially joining others to try and be the strongest. Heroes created in this mode may appear in both of the other modes. Hero mode appears to be more of a sandbox mode, letting the players control a hero and travel the world as much as they wish.
Poisoft is looking for ¥5,000,000 (c. $45,000/€38,000/£34,000) in funding by November 12, 2017, for an English release of Order Land!, which is expected in mid-2018. Those who pledge at least ¥1,000 ($8.94/€7.56/£6.72) will receive a digital copy of the game as part of their backer rewards.
