Australian developer Defiant Development today announced that its deckbuilder/roguelike hybrid Hand of Fate 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 version joins the previously-revealed PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox One releases, with all platforms set to receive the game sometime in Q1 2017.
Defiant Development also revealed one of the game's new companions. Estrella Fiore is a fearsome ranged attacker who will be a useful ally to the player. However, if the player falls on the wrong side of theEmpire it gives Estrella a tough choice. Outside of combat, Estrella offers players a second attempt during the new timing-focused Pendulum minigame. Estrella will debut in the game's latest demo, which will be playable at PSX in Anaheim this weekend.
Hand of Fate 2 takes place one hundred years after the original game. It sees the enigmatic dealer from the previous game training a new player after the previous one ends up using their powers to take over the world. The game features various additions to its predecessor, including companions, new deck suites, new challenges, and new opponents.
