Nippon Ichi Software revealed more details and media for The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2, including a release date for the game in Japan. It will be released for PlayStation 4 in the country on February 23, 2017. No announcement has been made regarding a western release.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is an action RPG and a follow-up to The Witch and the Hundred Knight, which was originally released on PlayStation 3 before an enhanced port was released on PlayStation 4. The game features both a new world and new cast of characters.
The game stars Cerca, the witch form of a girl known as Milum. Milum is infected with the Witch's Disease, which causes a third eye to appear on the afflicted girl's forehead and for them to lose their sense of identity when it opens. Milum's sister Amalie belongs the anti-witch organization known as Weiss Ritter and decides to continue working with the organisation while keeping her sister a secret from it.
Players once again control the Hundred Knight, a magic being summoned by the witch. It is unable to speak and can only respond in simple ways, such as with affirmative or negative gestures. Another major character is Funinmugin. Originally a crow, he was transformed into a familiar by Cerca and now works as her butler.
