A new trailer for Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon is out, brining with it several more details about the upcoming games. Like in Pokémon Sun & Moon, players set out to complete the Island Challenge, however, some of the challenges have been changed and there is also a new trial given by Mina. A storyline involving the legendary Pokémon Necrozma will come up during the Island Challenge.
Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon feature over 400 species of Pokémon, though some Pokémon will be specific to one version, a specific example being Houndoom in Ultra Sun and Manectric in Ultra Moon. Ride Pokémon return, with Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon adding the Mantine Surf. This can be used both for travelling between islands and as a contest in its own right, with players aiming to get the highest score by performing tricks.
Another new addition is the Alola Photo Club. Players will be able to take photos of themselves and their partner Pokémon, choosing the backgrounds, camera angles, and poses. Photos can then be decorated with frames or stickers and be shared with other trainers online.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will be released exclusively for Nintendo 3DS on November 17, 2017. The games will be available physically and digitally, including a special physical Ultra Dual Edition containing both versions and special packaging.
