The Windows 10 version of the game will also be able to transfer saves from the Xbox One version and will be able to play with Xbox players in the multiplayer mode Comrades.
New to the Windows Edition is an expanded map to feature the ruins of the city of Insomnia, housing new side quests and enemies. A fully-controllable Royal Vessel boat has been added allowing for exploration between Cape Caem and Altissia. A new item, hidden somewhere in the world, will allow for a new ability known as Armiger Unleashed which, when activated, will grant powerful attacks. A first-person mode has also been added to the game. All of the additions will also be available for console as part of the Royal Edition, due to release on the same date as the Windows Edition.
