   Brief Respite

[11/26/2002]   Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, and with it comes a meager, but welcome break. While many retail employees may disagree (especially with this upcoming Friday), hopefully everyone will get a chance to sit back and enjoy a chance to game without the usual interferences. With everything including work on the new archive and responding to all the review submissions over the past few months, I'd like to say thanks to everyone that's helped out with the sections - both readers and staff. Without your submissions, this section would not be alive. Enjoy the holiday break (while it lasts...)

That and right before posting this, I hear Square and Enix are merging. My...goodness. Have an eventful break. So much for quiet...

Submission Booboos - Archive Rehaul Step #1: Complete

After many laborious hours spent entering all of the submitted reviews in PoV's history, every last one is up (according to our records), including this week's selection. To any who are curious as to how the system operates: each game in RPGamer's database is assigned a unique ID, and all reviews for that game are assigned to that ID. This will make archive updates tremendously faster for the sake of the readers and staff, as you won't have to wait for us to twiddle with HTML code anymore. Of course, anyone who sees any missing reviews should feel free to remind us of them. The next step is to change the links to the reviews on all the game pages, and we'll let you know how that is progressing.
