6 Eyes Studio has begun a Kickstarter campaign for its tactical RPG Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark. Inspired by classics such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre, Fell Seal takes place in a fantasy world and is driven by its story and class-based combat.
The game features over twenty classes, with players able to choose their character's class, sub-class, abilities, and equipment. Players can also fully customise the appearance of all non-story characters they recruit. Characters who fall in battle are not permanently lost, but will given an injured status that drastically reduces their stats for a certain number of battles.
Fell Seal's story takes place in a world run by the Immortal Council, a group of eternal rulers dedicated to ensuring stability and who came to power after a catastrophe a millenia prior to the events of the game. The council uses agents called Arbiters to help keep the peace, root out corruption, defeat dangerous monsters, and more. The main protagonist Kyrie is one of these Arbiters and she is joined by her adoptive brother (also an Arbiter) Reiner and her apprentice Anadine.
6 Eyes Studio is looking for $40,000 in funding by October 30, 2017. Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark is planned for release on PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox One in late 2018. Potential releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch are being considered but are not confirmed at this time. Those who pledge at least $20 will receive a digital copy of the game as part of their backer rewards.
