White Owls Inc has announced a new version of its simulation RPG The Good Life. While the initially announced version caused all the inhabitants of the town of Rainy Woods to turn into cats at night, the second versions causes them to turn into dogs instead.
The different versions will provide different things to do at night. While The Good Life: Cats allows main protagonist Naomi to climb high areas or slip through narrow passages, The Good Life: Dogs will allow her to dig holes or follow scent trails. The two versions will be compatible with each other in online multplayer, allowing players to transform into a dog or cat and visit others' towns.
Billed as a "Debt Repayment Life Simulation RPG", The Good Life follows Naomi, a photographer from New York sent to the English town to capture its secrets and send reports about its inhabitants to her employer. However, things soon turn a bit more serious when a murder occurs in the town. The game is currently undergoing a crowdfunding campaign on Fig, with the developer is looking for $1.5m in funding by October 13, 2017. Those who pledge at least $29 will receive a digital copy of the game, which is initially planned for a 2019 release on PC and PlayStation 4.
