Japanese developer Atlus recently announced the creation of a new internal studio as well as teasing that studio's debut title. Studio Zero is being headed up by Katsura Hashino, director of numerous Atlus titles including Persona 5 and Catherine. The new studio's name and logo makes reference to Tarot cards, with the number zero deliberately referring to the Fool Arcana.
The studio's first project is currently known as Project Re Fantasy. Little is known about the game at this stage other than it will be a fantasy RPG not connected to the Megami Tensei and Persona series. A teaser video can be seen below, with a teaser website also now live. Other regular Atlus staff are confirmed to be working on the project, including character designer Shigenori Soejima and composer Shoji Meguro, who will also be continuing to work on other Atlus projects as well. Atlus has stated that the Persona series development team, P-Studio, will continue to work on new titles for the series.
