Bandai Namco recently revealed the first details for its upcoming crossover RPG Accel World vs. Sword Art Online: Millenium Twilight, including its release date in Japan. The game will be released in the country for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on March 16, 2017.
Accel World vs. Sword Art Online uses the ALfheim Online setting that was previously used by Sword Art Online: Lost Song, where players can fly and fight both in the air and on the ground. The story sees a sudden maintenance announcement made, after which Kirito and Asuna come across the machine humanoid avatar Black Lotus while chasing after Yui. Currenty four characters from each series are confirmed to be in the game: Kirito, Asuna, Silica, and Lisbeth from Sword Art Online and Black Lotus, Silver Crow, Lime Bell, and Scarlet Rain from Accel World. Players will be able to adventure with up to two others in the game, which features real-time combat.
Accel World vs. Sword Art Online is a crossover RPG between Accel World and Sword Art Online, two light novel series written by Reki Kawahara that have branched into various multimedia adaptations. There is currently no news to report regarding a possible western release.
