Square Enix released new media and details for the upcoming debut title of new studio Tokyo RPG Factory, Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna (aka Project Setsuna). The media, viewable below, shows some newly-revealed aspects of the game's ATB-based combat and introduces a couple of new characters.
Project Setsuna features cooperative techniques, where players can equip skills and activate them across multiple party members. If more than one party member unleashes an attack at the same time, its power is multiplied. Two examples given are the Icega Slash, a ice and slashing combo between the protagonist and Jurion, and the X Slash, a dual-slash combo between the protagonist and Kuon.

Jurion is one of the two new characters revealed. She is a knight that can trace her lineage back to the royal family. She has a very focused personality and attacks with both her spear and water magic. The second character is Keel, a young boy living in a secluded vilalge in the mountains. Envying the exciting lives of those in the wider world, he ran away from his village but maintains a positive outlook. Keel specialises in fire-based magic.
Project Setsuna is due to be released in Japan on February 18, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game is planned for release in North America and Europe in 2016.
