CD Projekt RED has revealed the identify of the previously-teased second playable character in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. That character is Ciri, the descendant of a long-lost Elven-blooded lineage. Ciri is also the ashen-haired girl from an ancient prophecy, with the power to heal or destroy, and is being hunted down by the titular Wild Hunt as well as the Empire of Nilfgaard. As shown in the previous trailer, Geralt is also attempting to track her down before anyone else can get their hands on her.
Ciri is said to be highly-skilled in swordfighting, with a quicker and more agile style to Geralt, and has multiple unique abilities that will be unlocked during the game. Despite there being an additional playable character, CD Projekt RED has stated that Geralt's story and actions will still be the main focus of the title. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently due to be released on May 19, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
