Bandai Namco announced yesterday that Dark Souls II will be getting a re-release coming next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Titled Scholar of the First Sin, it will come with all previously released DLC in addition to numerous enhancements.
Every version of the game — including existing PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC owners via patch — will recieve new NPCs, changed descriptions for items, and improved online functionality and game balance. Players who purchase the re-release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC will recieve other upgrades as well, including improved graphics, sound, and performance. These versions will also increase the maximum number of online players at one time to six.
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be available in America on April 7, 2015 and in Europe on April 3, 2015.
