Daedelic Entertainment has released a new trailer, as well as some fresh information, for its turn-based RPG, Blackguards 2. The trailer focuses on the new premise of the game, plus some of the features that have been introduced following its precessor's release in January 2014, and can be viewed below.
The game features a conflict between Marwan, the current ruler of Mengbilla, and the new player-character Cassia, who has started a military campaign against him to try and claim the throne for herself. Players will need to recruit some of the party members from the first game, and fight to claim territory away from Marwan using the game's hexagonal grid-based battle system.
Blackguards 2 looks to have a more strategic feel to the overall campaign, with players deciding which location to conquer next. This time around, players will be able to hire up to ten extra mercenaries, and choose the starting locations of their characters at the beginning of each battle. Players will also be required to defend their taken cities from Marwan's counterattacks.
Blackgaurds 2 is based on the popular The Dark Eye pen-and-paper role-playing game. It is due to be released on PC some time in Q1 2015.
