Atlus has announced that it will be releasing a remake of Persona 2: Innocent Sin on the PSP. The game, which has never seen North American shores, is especially known for its demon negotiation system. As in the first Persona game, players can choose to speak to enemy demons, and if the negotiation is successful, the demon will grant them a bonus. The system is expanded in Innocent Sin, with many different bonuses available.
Other changes in the remake include a wider battle screen for stronger area attacks, combination attacks, new battle and menu interfaces, and dungeon mini-maps. Although no North American release has been announced yet, considering recent history, localization chances are quite good. In the meantime, we can smile at this character pairing, an echo of which many of us experienced in Persona 3.
