Details have emerged about SEGA/Platinum Games' new Nintendo DS RPG Infinite Space, which was initially known as Infinite Line. While details are sparse at the moment, it has been revealed that the game will be a large-scale space opera RPG.
In this game, players take on the role of a battleship captain in space. Gamers will not be controlling their character in direct combat, but will instead be in command of their ship. The ability to travel around and collect modules will allow players to freely upgrade and customize their fleet. Crew members will also be able to be added to the player's fleet, bringing
new skills and specialties, which will end up changing the strategy and abilities in the player's fleet.
The game is set to be released this upcoming spring in Japan. There is currently no definite word on a US release date
other than sometime in 2009.
