Today at their press summit in San Francisco, Nintendo revealed their upcoming lineup from now into 2009. Two new RPGs that just received confirmation of North American localization are Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Mario & Luigi 3, both for the Nintendo DS.
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon has been available in Japan since August, but Mario & Luigi 3 was just announced for Japan at Nintendo of Japan's conference yesterday. Fire Emblem is a remake of the original title in the series and details Marth's backstory. Along with classic Fire Emblem gameplay, it will feature Wi-Fi battles complete with voice chat, unit sharing, and an online armory. Mario & Luigi shows no sign of the babies from the prior game, but does feature Bowser as a playable character. Both titles are due out in 2009, though Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon is specified to have a first half release. RPGamer will have impressions of this latest DS Fire Emblem on Monday along with a few other RPGs.
