According to the pages of Weekly Famitsu, Marvelous Entertainment has announced Harvest Moon: Sun and Friends for the Nintendo DS. This is the fifth Harvest Moon title on the tilling-friendly handheld.

The game will follow the lives of Mark and Chelsea from Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness. Players will seed, water, and plow their way to farming glory on Sunflower Island. Wi-Fi content includes item trading and voice chat.

Harvest Moon: Sun and Friends is set for release this winter in Japan. As with most games announced in the pages of Famitsu, no North American release has been announced at this time.
