Fire Emblem Becomes Portable Again
10.10.2007

MICHAEL CUNNINGHAM
STAFF REPORTER

Nintendo

Just a month out from the North American release of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for the Nintendo Wii, word comes out of a closed-door conference in Japan about another Fire Emblem title coming to the Nintendo DS. This Fire Emblem DS title appears to be a remake of the original Fire Emblem: Dragon of Darkness and Sword of Light for the NES, as it stars Marth, only seen in North America as a character in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Sheeda from that title.

The DS version will contain new elements, most notably is use of the Wi-Fi connectivity, though there are not specific details yet. Fire Emblem DS is scheduled to be released in Japan in 2008, but there is no mention of the North American release at this point. More details should be emerging soon and we will keep you up to date.
