When Namco announced its Nintendo DS RPG, Xenosaga I & II, it promised that the game would not simply be a straight port of the original PlayStation 2 Xenosaga games to 2D. Instead, the company said, the game would offer an overhaul of the stories, with modifications to some story sequences as well as all-new plot elements to weave the two games into a single narrative.
Now, in keeping with that promise, the company has announced a completely new character for the DS game. Pierre Ruryk is an influential Representative in the Galaxy Federation's Assembly, and his good looks have helped him to craft a persuasive manner which has swayed a number of swing votes to his side during important debates. Representative Ruryk is a close friend of Gaignun Kukai, and so he has used his position in the government to do whatever he can to help the Kukai Foundation.
Xenosaga I & II is currently in development for the DS, with no concrete release date having been announced for either Japan or North America. RPGamer will continue to bring the latest details on this game as they surface.
