Square Enix has announced that the remake of the Super Famicom game, Romancing SaGa, which was never released in North America originally, has shipped to stores nationwide. In Japan, the game is titled Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song, but the company felt that the subtitle was not needed due to this being the game's first release stateside.

Akitoshi Kawazu and his team have worked to create a game that will not only be close to the original, but also new enough that many of the game's original shortcomings could be fixed. The game has an MSRP of $39.99 and was rated "E 10+" for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB.
