The October edition of CoroCoro magazine recently unveiled the first definitive news regarding the development of Mega Man Battle Network 5. In much the same fashion as Mega Man Battle Network 3 and Mega Man Battle Network 4, the game will be released in two separate versions; one named after ProtoMan.EXE and one after Colonel.EXE.
Several features of the previous titles in the series are set to make a reappearance, including Soul Unison, the grid-based battle system, the emotion window, and Full Synchonization. The ProtoMan.EXE version of the game is set to be released on December 9th in Japan, while the Colonel.EXE version is slated for February. No release for North America or Europe was mentioned, but RPGamer will report any change in that status as it becomes available.
