With the recent release J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring in theaters, it was inevitable that another RPG incarnation of the series would become available. Universal Interactive has announced its plans to release The Lord of the Rings, Part 1 on the Game Boy Advance. The game is currently scheduled for a quarter four 2002 release.
The Lord of the Rings, Part 1 follows the entire story of The Fellowship of the Ring and ends partly into The Two Towers. The player will have full control of each member of the Fellowship as they join. The game will use an isometric graphics engine and will utilize an intuitive character interaction and combat control system.
