Beelzebub and I has been given a more definite release date by Sony Computer Entertainment as they prepare to release a series of RPGs in the next several months. The game has been set for Japanese release on March 15th, 2001, slightly later than its initial estimate of winter 2000, but probably a more realistic goal. The game will sell for around 5800 yen.
A few gameplay details were also clarified in the announcement.
Beelzebub and I will feature a storyline where the hero must rely on assistance from the devil to complete his quest. For instance, in one sequence, only the devil can be used to unlock a door which must be passed through; additionally, the devil and the hero have separate attack moves and sequences, although only one may attack at any given time. There is no announced North American release at this time, though one has not been ruled out.
