Nintendo of America announced its release schedule yesterday, shifting the release dates of many games, as usual. Two dates are of interest to RPG fans: the delayed Paper Mario release date and the added Pokémon Stadium Gold/Silver release date. Paper Mario is now scheduled for February 5, 2001, while Pokémon Stadium Gold/Silver should be released on March 26, 2001.
Pokémon Stadium Gold/Silver will follow the general format of the first game, with the added bonus of the Gold and Silver pokémon to battle with. Paper Mario, Nintendo's sequel to Super Mario RPG, is a slightly more standard RPG with a PaRappa-ish graphic style. Both of these games are highly anticipated, and according to Nintendo, should be out in less than six months.
