Square has set a date of February 11th, 1999 for the Japanese release of Final Fantasy VIII. Square also announced that they expect to sell a million more copies of Final Fantasy VIII than was sold of Final Fantasy VII.

    No information has been released yet about a potentional US release, although most estimates are Q3-Q4 '99.
