In the world of RPGs, Hironobu Sakaguchi needs little introduction. The father of the Final Fantasy series, now the head of Mistwalker, his own studio, announced this week the imminent release of the follow-up to the studio's previous mobile-only title, Terra Battle.
The sequel, created in conjunction with Japanese developer Silicon Studio, promises to provide a console-level RPG experience built with the touch-screen functionality of mobile devices in mind. With a campaign that spans over fifty chapters, Terra Battle 2 features an all-new co-op raid mode, accommodating up to ten players simultaneously. To celebrate the new game's release, players of the original Terra Battle will receive access to Haruhikari, a brand-new Class Z character taken straight from the sequel, available starting on September 20, 2017, at 5:00PM PDT. Also, players who log in between then and October 4, 2017, at 4:59PM PDT will receive four free Energies each day.
Terra Battle 2 will be released simultaneously in both Japan and North America on September 21, 2017, with a PC release following at an unspecified later date. A nearly-six-minute trailer is viewable below. More information about the game can be found on its official website.
