Bandai Namco has new media for the Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory, including pictures of two characters and information on the game's multiplayer mode. The two characters, Jimmy Ken and K, are both hackers.
Jimmy Ken once belonged to the largest hacker group known as Zaxon, who protect the digital world, but was disatisfied with the direction of the group. As a result, he leaves to form his own group called the Demons. The other hacker, K, is a mysterious character chasing the man attempting to the gain access to the protagonist's account.
The online mode of Hacker's Memory, which allows players to battle their Digimon online, is known as Network Battle and is split between three modes. Ranked battles use predetermined rules and ratings. Event battles will use rules that cycle every two weeks. Free Rule battles will allow players to make lobbies of up to eight players. Ranked and Event modes will also give players coins that can be used to buy equipment for Digimon or to change the appearance of online avatars.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory will arrive for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in early 2018.
