The sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, has been given a release date by developer Eidos Montreal and publisher Square Enix. The game, which is set two years after the events of the previous game, will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 23, 2016.
Square Enix also revealed a complex pre-order campaign for the game, which sees buyers able to select different bonus items, the exact selection of items dependent on the number of pre-orders reached in a selection of countries. There are five tiers of bonuses, which are listed below:
Tier One (unlocked automatically) — A choice of one of three Starter Packs.
Intruder Pack — Custom-skinned trench coat and pistol, including upgrades, for Adam Jensen; two EMP grenades; five packs of pistol ammo; 1000 credits; and a Piraxis point.
Enforcer Pack — Custom-skinned combat armour and combat rifle, including upgrades, for Adam Jensen; two HE grenades; five packs of rifle ammo; 100 credits; and a Piraxis point.
Intruder Pack — Adam Jensen's combat armour, trench coat, and revolver from Human Revolution plus a pack of revolver ammo.
Tier Two — A choice of a digital art book or a digital OST sampler featuring six tracks.
Tier Three — The "Desperate Measures" pre-order mission, where Adam Jensen goes to the site of a bombing at the Ruzicka Train Station and uses his abilities to uncover the true culprit.
Tier Four — A choice of a digital comic book that looks deeper at the conspiracies going on in the world or a novella that follows characters from Human Revolution and offers new details on them.
Tier Five — The release date is brought forward four days to February 19, 2016.
