Bandai Games America has announced that the official demo of Eternal Sonata, their award-winning RPG, has been released for download on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for both Silver and Gold members. The demo will give gamers a taste of what is to come: the full game will not be released to retailers for sale until September 17, 2007.
Developed by Tri-Crescendo, Eternal Sonata chronicles the adventures of Frederic Chopin, the famed Romantic composer and pianist. His travels will take him through a world of mystery, where dreams and reality become intertwined. The game features a hybrid real-time and turn-based combat system and an immersive storyline lauded by critics.
Speaking on occasion of the demo release, Makoto Iwai, Executive Vice President and COO of Namco Bandai, said, "Eternal Sonata is a game that immerses players in a world as rich and vibrant as the music of Chopin. The release of the demo marks the chance for gamers to finally experience this incredibly detailed and nuanced world, and we're confident that they'll be spellbound from the start." Those who have not yet tried the demo may wish to peruse RPGamer's handy impression.
