More news has been released regarding Disgaea Portable, the PSP port of 2003's Disgaea: Hour of Darkness for the PS2. The game, which is set for release in Japan in November of this year, will have several new features that distinguish the title from its console brother. This includes multiple new bonus dungeons accessible by passing the proper bill in the Dark Congress, some of which will feature some new cameo characters that most fans will not expect. The entire regular cast returns, along with their original voice actors who have provided extra dialogue for the port.
The company hopes they will be able to receive enough fan support to ship it overseas saying, "Because Disgaea is an incredible fan favorite, NIS America is eager to bring Disgaea Portable to the US fans. But in order to make it happen, we will need to prove there is enough support and demand for Disgaea Portable!" The company added, "So we would appreciate it if you could support us by raising your voice and making some noise for Disgaea Portable in the US!" Considering Disgaea Portable is ranked first on the fan "Wish List" portion of the NIS America website, there is a good chance Disgaea Portable will make its way to North American shores.
