Jumping the gun on the Tokyo Game Show, Konami has decided to let the world in on the newest addition to the Suikoden family ahead of time: Suikoden V. The company chose to unveil the game in the pages of Jump magazine.
Suikoden V will take place in the Falna Queendom, which is ruled by Queen Alshtat Falnas. The hero of the story is her son who, after a certain event, gets dragged into the center of the story. The only other character revealed is Rion, bodyguard to the hero. Trained under the best teachers in the land, she is an exceptional swordswoman. Details on the story are still very scarce at the moment, but it has been mentioned that the Suikoden staple, the 108 Stars of Destiny, will once again be present.
Konami will be showing off Suikoden V at the Tokyo Game Show, including a playable demo of the game. Suikoden V will be for the PlayStation 2, and no release date for the game has been announced.
