Westwood Studios has shut down the beta servers for its MMORPG, Earth and Beyond, and launched the full game. After spending nearly a year in beta tests, the full version of the game shipped to retailers on September 24th. "Earth & Beyond is a big achievement for EA and Westwood Studios," said John Riccitiello, the company's president and chief operating officer. "We're expanding the persistent world genre with an incredibly deep, compelling game about space exploration."
Earth and Beyond is a MMORPG that involves space travel and exploration as its main themes. Players can choose from three highly customizable races, and involve themselves in a number of occupations to progress through the game and build their character. The developers intend to constantly add new worlds, sectors, characters and plotlines to the game.
