As the sequel to Yu Suzuki's acclaimed Shenmue, Shenmue 2 certainly has a lot to live up to. Recently, two more details have been unveiled. According to IGN DC, Sega has revealed that, Shenmue 2 will not feature any English voiceovers. Instead, the Japanese voiceovers will remain intact, and English subtitles added. Another detail concerned the game's release date. While Sega has not confirmed anything, major retailers have noted that Shenmue 2 will be shipping on December 4. Note however, that this release date is considered tentative and can be considered to be a rumor at this time.
Set in 1986 Japan, Shenmue 2 continues the story of main character Ryu and his quest to find his father's killer. Upon the release of the first Shenmue, players had a chance to experience some of the best graphics and musical score to date.
