The Game Boy Advance has received a steady flow of RPGs since its launch earlier this year, and now Victor Interactive has joined the growing ranks of developers planning RPGs for the system with their announcement of Sansara Saga 1X2. The title is actually the third game in the series, the first two iterations of which appeared on the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Nintendo, respectively. In the game, players seek out dragon eggs in order to hatch them into dragons, which they must then train and breed. The game's protagonist is a young boy who wishes to become a dragon master, roaming the world and collecting dragon eggs. Different dragons have different elemental abilities and attacks; indeed, the game sounds somewhat similar to Pokémon.
Similarities aside, Victor Interactive has indicated that Sansara Saga 1X2 will be released in Japan sometime this fall. There is no word on whether or not the game will reach North America.
