MindArk, the developers of the upcoming Science Fiction Massively Multiplayer Online RPG: Project Entropia; is calling for some 500 people for phase two of the game's beta test. The test will take place on July 23, 2001 with phase one's beta testers behind closed doors. Patric Sundstrom, MindArk's Marketing Manager expressed his delight with the outpouring support for the game, and is encouraging people to sign up.
Project Entropia will be the newest MMORPG to enter the online RPG genre following the successes of Everquest, Asheron's Call, and Lineage: The Blood Pledge. It will also have its own uniqueness due to the planned monetary system which will convert the money gained in the game to real world currency. It will also have no initial fees and subscription costs to the player. As a result, distribution of the game will go through the Internet by download or through electronic game magazines on compact disc.
If you are interested in participating in the beta test for Project Entropia, visit the Official Project Entropia site. As always, RPGamer will be there to report the news on this anticipated game.
