Following a leak a few days beforehand, Square Enix announced an upcoming western release for Final Fantasy Brave Exvius on iOS and Android. The game is slated as a "full-scale" Final Fantasy title, and will be free-to-play with in-app purchases when it launches in the summer of 2016.
Brave Exvius follows the story of two knights from the kingdom of Grandshelt. After a young girl appears before them, the pair embark on a quest to find a highly-prized crystal. The game features a streamlined turn-based battle system, various dungeons, and traditional Final Fantasy summons as well as appearances from previous Final Fantasy characters such as the Warrior of Light, Cecil, Vivi, and Terra.
Those interested in the game can pre-register on its official website to receive bonus in-game items. Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius will be playable at this year's E3, which begins on June 14, 2016.
