Healer's Quest is a planned release from solo developer Pablo Coma (aka Rablo Games) with a crowdfunding campaign currently underway on Kickstarter. The game is a lighthearted title where players take control of the healer in a party of careless adventurers. Healer's Quest is being developed for PC with a playable demo available on its Kickstarter page.
As players are only able to control the healer, the main objective is to keep the party standing. Unfortunately, the rest of the party's ability is such that there is a constant need for healing. After customising their healer's appearance, players are also able to select a karma option from Good, Evil, and Victim that provides a unique set of skills and affects how the healer behaves.
Healer's Quest features eighteen unlockable spells, with each spell having it own upgrade tree. Spells can also get new get new upgrade options when other spells have been upgraded past a certain point. In addition to replenishing hit points, the healer will also need to use their spells to deal with eight possible status effects.
Although rest of the party refuses to listen to the healer's advice in terms of combat tactics, they do give him control over their equipment. There will be around a hundred items to help boost the party with better stats or abilities, with new items collectable through chests, enemy drops, and side quests.
Rablo Games is looking for €8,000 in funding by May 7, 2016. Those who pledge at least €10 will receive a copy of the game as part of their backer rewards. If the campaign is successful, Rablo Games hopes to launch the game in later 2016 or early 2017.
