Indepedent publisher Kasedo Games and developer Puuba recently announced The Metronomicon. The game blends RPG and rhythm gameplay in a full story campaign. Players take control of a group of eight new graduates of the so-called "rhythmic combat arts" in a campaign against multiple villains featuring licenced music from various electronic artists.
Combat in The Metronomicon sees four heroes go up at any one time, with players switching between them on the fly to use abilities and spells the effectiveness of which is based on how well players match the rhythm-based commands. Characters will level up with various stat increases, and players will also be able to upgrade their equipment and learn new skills.
The Metronomicon is planned release for PC and Mac later this year. The game will be making an appearance at PAX East in Boston from April 22-24 with a playable demo.
