Persona 4 Golden

One of my most anticipated titles this year is Persona 4: Golden. Having sunk 100+ hours into Persona 3, Persona 3 Portable, and easily as much into the original Persona 4, I can't wait for Golden to allow me to relive that universe. Atlus USA's PR mastermind Aram Jabbari was kind enough to walk us through the game. As opposed to adding an additional main character like P3P did, P4G instead aims to get the most out of the Vita technology and features.

Though the game was still in Japanese, there are numerous features that transcend the language barrier. First, a new chunk of story is being added to the end of the game in the form of a ski trip that players will be able to participate in. This added story segment will add around ten hours of playtime to the game. The graphics have also been scaled specifically for the Vita's screen and additional voicework has been added.

One of the final reveals was a new reward system. As players progress through the story, they will unlock "TV channels," including things like in-universe television content, a music channel featuring some of the more memorable Persona sounds, and even some select tracks from the 2008 and 2009 Persona Music Live concerts. It's yet another reward for progressing through this massive RPG, which will be available for Vita owners later in 2012.
