Zeboyd Games is happy to announce that their next RPG project, Cthulhu Saves the World, will be released August 2010. The game will release on Xbox Live Indie Arcade for $3.
The story is Cthulhu wishing to destroy the world, when a band of heroes curse him and seal away his powers. The only way to break the curse is to become a hero; world destruction will have to wait.
Zeboyd Games has stated that the game will contain the classic 8-bit/16-bit style similar to their previous title, Breath of Death VII: The Beginning, and will feature the ability to inflict insanity on your foes. The game also features seven playable characters, a 6-10 hour storyline, and post-game content that includes Score Attack and Highlander mode. Players will also be able to collect Save Notebooks so they can save wherever they wish, and 1ups so players can retry failed battles.
