Natsume recently announced that Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon will be released in North America sometime in the fall for the Nintendo DS and be making an appearance at E3 next month. Like the original Rune Factory, Rune Factory 2 will be blending the Harvest Moon universe with traditional RPG elements.
Taking place several years after the events of the first game, Rune Factory 2 begins when the peace in the Kingdom of Norad is again in danger, plagued by sinister premonitions. For the first time in the series, Rune Factory 2 is multigenerational. Initially, RPGamers take the role as the strange traveler Kyle who comes to Alvarna Village. Later, as the game progresses, the role will be switched to Kyle's child, which then opens up a whole new adventure.
In the tradition of Harvest Moon, players will build and develop a farm, make friends with townspeople, raise monsters for battle, take on quests, and find a wife. Moreover, Rune Factory 2 offers Touch Screen controls and user-friendly menus.
