A press release recently doled out by Natsume has outlined its upcoming Medabots title. The game takes place years after the Rubberobo Gang attempted to take over the world and was thwarted by a young Medafighter named Henry. The gang was disbanded, and peace reigned for years. Unbeknownst to the public, however, a dark figure has been slowly rebuilding the Rubberobo Gang for world domination through the misuse of Medabots.
Enter Ikki, a young boy who has always dreamed of being the World Champion Medafighter. Now he gets his chance, and in the process, he must save his hometown of Riverview City from the evil Phantom Renegade. He will solve mysteries with help from his friends, and control unique Metabots cobbled together from hundreds of unique Medaparts, of which there are over three million possible combinations.
Like most collection-based games, Medabots comes in two separate versions, each with robots unique to itself. The Metabee and Rokusho versions of the game are both scheduled for North American release this October, with a currently unknown Japanese release date to follow.
