Square, Enix and Namco have teamed up to form a partnership, the companies announced Monday. While details of the deal were not finalized, the three developers announced they had a mutual agreement to exchange between four and five percent of their stock holdings in order to facilitate co-operation and ensure everyone's best interests are served through the agreement.
What this will mean in terms of RPGs is unclear at this point; however, Square has been rumoured to be considering some sort of arcade interface for Playonline, their fledgling internet service.
