As the excitement and revelations of the Tokyo Game Show come to a close, there are a few announcements that somehow became overshadowed by larger titles. One such announcement comes in regards to Konami's next installment into its classic RPG series, Suikoden III. This upcoming PlayStation2 RPG was first announced almost a year ago, and the game's development since then has been pretty quiet. However, Konami and KCE Tokyo debuted the title at Japan's recently concluded show, providing fans with the first information on the game.
The presentation was brief, and consisted of a short talk by the creators and a CG trailer of the upcoming title. Aside from of a fourth quarter release date, very few details about the game were mentioned. The Suikoden series currently consists of two RPGs and two graphical-adventure titles, all for the PlayStation console, and will be joined by a PlayStation2 installment when Suikoden III is released in Japan this winter. RPGamer will keep you updated as further information becomes available.
