Publisher DotEmu released a new trailer for its upcoming release of Ys Origin on PlayStation platforms. This new trailer focuses on the game's two main palyable protagonists, Yunica and Hugo. Yunica is a melee-based fighter, weilding her axe in close combat, while Hugo is a sorcerer who weilds magic from afar. DotEmu also revealed that the game's PlayStation Vita release has been delayed to May 30, 2017. The game's PlayStation 4 version is still planned for release on February 21, 2017.
Ys Origin is a distant prequel to the main Ys series, taking place 700 years before the first game. The game was originally released for PC in Japan in 2006, with XSEED Games releasing an enhanced version in English for PC in 2012.
