Indie developer Ackk Studios announced that it is teaming up with specialist publisher and distributor Limited Run Games to release a physical version of its upcoming postmodern RPG, YIIK. The physical edition will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. A release date is not yet confirmed for the game, which will also be released digitally for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC, Linux, Mac, and Wii U, but Ackk Studios stated it plans to reveal that soon
YIIK is set in 1999, and surrounds the disappearance of Sammy Pak. Her last known moments are uploaded online, where she appears to be pulled out of an elevator by something extraordinary. The game is said to have a twenty-five hour campaign with a turn-based combat system featuring up to eight party members. The game is fully voiced and has a soundtrack with contributions from multiple composers, including Andrew Allanson, Calum Bowen, Toby Fox, and Hiroki Kikuta.
