NIS America recently updated its official website for Grand Kingdom. The update provides some details about the game, as well as new screenshots and a new trailer, both viewable below.
Grand Kingdom puts players in charge of their own mercenary squad on the continent of Resonail. The squad falls under the guide of the Guild, which is recognised as autonomous by Resonail's four great nations and led by master swordsman Godfrey. The player's squad is given quests by the four nations: the kingdom of Landerth, the allied clans of Valkyr, the queendom of Fiel, and the kingdom of Magion.
There is also another faction, the people of Uld, who are said to descend from the old Uldein Empire. The Empire used to rule all of Resonail, but fell a hundred years prior to the game, with the people of Uld now relegated to being considered little more than a band of thieves.
Players recruit various characters into their squad and can follow the single-player campaign or take their squad online in an ongoing fight for supremacy. Players with both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game can fight against each other on the same servers.
Grand Kingdom is planned for release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Europe on June 17 and in North America on June 21 of this year. The game's limited editions can be pre-ordered now from NIS America's North American and European online stores.
