NIS America recently announced the western release dates for the tactical RPG Grand Kingdom. This PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game will be released on June 17 and June 21 of this year in Europe and North America, respectively. The publisher also revealed three different special editions for the game, available in both regions.
At the game's release, Grand Kingdom will come in a Launch Day Edition. This includes the game, a 32-page art book, and a five-track soundtrack CD in a cardboard sleeve. Only the PS4 version will have a launch edition in North America, while Europe will get launch editions for both the PS4 and Vita. Also available at retailers and the NISA online store is the Limited Edition. This set includes the PS4 or Vita edition of the game, a 128-page hardcover art book, fifteen-track soundtrack CD, a poster, and a sheet of decal stickers, all in a collector's box. The Vita and PS4 Limited Editions are $59.99 and $79.99, respectively. Exclusive to the NISA store is the Grand Edition. In addition to everything in the Limited Edition, the Grand Edition comes with a second poster, a cloth map, a set of six lapel pins, and six miniature art cards. This set will cost $79.99/$99.99.
Four new classes have also been added to Grand Kingdom in Japan through paid downloadable content. These classes are the Valkyrie, Paladin, Archer, and Dark Knight. The Valkyrie uses special skills, the Paladin focuses on defense, the Archer uses powerful charge skills, and the Dark Knight mixes swords and sorcery. An individual class costs 300 yen and all four can be purchased in a bundle for 1000 yen. A new story scenario was also added revolving around the four nations in the game. All of this is shown in a new trailer, which can be found below.
Grand Kingdom was released in Japan on November 19, 2015. It is unknown at this time if the DLC classes and scenario will be included in the western release.
